About the SSI Grant
The Secondary Suite Incentive (SSI) Grant provides 35% of eligible costs up to $35,000 for creating legal rental suites.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be your primary residence
- Creating a new, self-contained suite
- Suite must be legal and permitted
- Home must be in Saskatoon
- Single-family, semi-detached, or townhouse
Eligible Costs
- Construction and renovation costs
- Permit fees
- Design and architectural fees
- Major appliances (up to $5,000)
- Electrical and plumbing upgrades
